It’s every father’s nightmare: Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a man her parents have never met. Lucas Beineke is a sweet, smart, “normal” young man from a respectable family–everything the Addams detest. When Wednesday confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother, Gomez Addams must do something he’s never done before: keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia. Everything will change for the Addams and the Beinekes–who have secrets of their own–on one fateful night, when they gather for dinner. A jealous brother, a lovestruck Uncle, a menacing butler, and someone’s grandma (we’re not sure whose) are joined by a meddling group of undead Addams ancestors, as relationships are tested and truths are fully disclosed. Can the Addams family ties survive, or will this “normal” family tear them apart?
