The architects were charged with maintaining the historic nature of The Gateway Playhouse. When this work is complete, you will enjoy a greatly improved experience from beginning to end. We’ll expand the lobby so it’ll be easier to meet friends before the show, take a break during intermission, and leave with less crowding. The expanded refreshment area will allow for more space for tables and seating for entertainment and community events. There are also plans for much-needed increased parking. Of course, we’ll also be modernizing things like fire safety, electrical equipment, and waste systems to make buildings safer and more sustainable.
