
Jessica Norland-Baker
Instructor
Jessica has been working at the Gateway since 2011. In that time she has worked as an Actress, Assistant Director, Choreographer, Marketing Assistant and most recently, as a teacher for the Gateway Acting School for the Performing Arts. Prior to her experience at Gateway, Jessica graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BFA in Musical Theater from the Boston Conservatory. Professionally, she played the role of Aldonza in the National Tour of Man of La Mancha. She has also worked in regional theaters around the country. Her favorite roles include Louise in Gypsy, Anita in West Side Story, Evita in Evita, and the Narrator in Joseph and the Amazing... Jessica has taught dance at multiple dance studios in the tri-state area and has taught musical theater dance technique at Barnard College. She was also a wedding singer for over five years with one of the top wedding bands in NYC. With the band, she traveled throughout the country, including Puerto Rico. Jessica is very excited to bring her unique style to the Gateway Acting School - she has a specialties in Musical Theater & Audition Technique and loves challenging her students to be fearless and to embrace their best selves.
