CJ PAWLOWSKI (Johnny Casino/ Teen Angel, u/s Danny, Kinickie) CJ is a recent BFA graduate from Indiana University. He most recently starred in the staged-reading of Damon Intrabartolo’s new boy-band musical, Plop. Favorite roles include Claude (HAIR) and Rolf (Sound of Music). He is so excited to be a part of Grease at Gateway, and live out his teen-heartthrob dreams. JESSICA NORLAND (Marty, u/s Betty Rizzo) Jessica is so excited to be returning to her Gateway family after performing here in Sweeney Todd and last year’s Phantom! Past roles include Louise in Gypsy, Anita in West Side Story, Eva Peron in Evita, Narrator in Joseph…, and most recently Prisoner #2 in Marie Christine in NYC. JIM ‘VOICE-GUY” O’BRIEN (Vince Fontaine) Host for b-103, “Long Islands greatest hits” top rated mid-day show since 2007, Jim is also the voice of news 12 networks for cablevision since 1997. A free lance voice over actor since 1993, he is heard as the ‘image voice’ for radio and tv stations accross the country and abroad. Chances are you hear him and don’t know it. Jim’s booming voice is also featured in several animated “children” series produced in nyc - usually as the big bad dragon lord or evil warlord. “Almost as scary as my headshot!” This is jim’s first stage appearance since his high school days....”Last year!” |

MARISSA ROSEN (Jan) Marissa is thrilled to be making her Gateway debut! She is best known for her portrayal of Maria Pinnunziato in My Big Gay Italian Wedding. Most recently she was seen as the leading lady in the Off Broadway production of Bedbugs the Musical. Favorite credits include: Jawbreaker, Legally Blonde, Bare, Footloose, Urinetown, Smokey Joe’s Cafe & Into the Woods. She originated the role of Secondary Princess in Disenchanted: Bitches of the Kingdom. Born and raised around DC in a showbiz family, Matthew is a graduate of Penn State University with a B.F.A. in Musical Theatre. NATALIE HIATT (Frenchy) Natalie is delighted to debut at the Gateway! A Kansas City Native, she has lived and worked in NYC for eight years. ROXIE LUCAS (Miss Lynch) is a theater veteran who has appeared on Broadway in Damn Yankees (w/Jerry Lewis), My Favorite Year, Harrigan’n Hart, and The Best Little Whorehouse In Texas. Off Broadway she received a Drama Desk Award Nomination for Forbidden Broadway and more recently appeared in Let’s Kill Grandma This Christmas. SHAWN PLATZKER (Doody) Shawn is thrilled to be part of Grease family at The Gateway this summer! Some of Shawn’s favorite roles have been Chris in Miss Saigon, Eugene in Brighton Beach Memoirs, Eddie in Over the Tavern and Charlie Brown in Your A Good Man Charlie Brown. TAYLOR MORGAN MARSH (Patty Simcox, u/s Sandy, Marty, Frenchy, Jan, Cha-Cha) is so excited for her first show with Gateway Playhouse, and to revisit the role of the incredible Patty Simcox. NIKKI LINT (Production Stage Manager) is happy to be back! Gateway credits include Cats, My Fair Lady, 9 to 5. Other Stage Management credits include Maltz Jupiter Theatre, Ogunquit Playhouse, Adrienne Arsht Center, Second City, Forbidden Broadway, and American Girl Theatre, among others. Nikki was a Production Assistant on the 1st National Tour of Mary Poppins, and is a graduate of The Theatre School at DePaul University. Proud member of AEA. |

RAY DEMATTIS (Director) has enjoyed a long, busy and varied career as both a stage director and an actor. His Broadway acting credits include the original Grease, City of Angels, Zoya’s Apartment, Little Shop of Horrors, and Fiorello for the Encores series. He guest starred on all three of Bill “Cosby’s” television series, as well as “The Sopranos,” and nine episodes of the “Law and Order” shows. His film appearances include “Family Business” with Dustin Hoffman, “Brewster’s Millions” with Richard Pryor, “Fatherhood” with Patrick Swayze and Halle Berry, “It Runs in the Family” with Kirk and Michael Douglas, and most recently, “Untitled.” Among his Off-Broadway credits are Talk Radio, Flora, the Red Menace, The Streets of New York, and Enter Laughing. He toured in Fiddler on the Roof with Zero Mostel, Laughter on the 23rd Floor, South Pacific with Robert Goulet, and Beauty and the Beast. He has worked as an actor and a director at stock and regional theaters throughout the country, and his own adaptation of A Christmas Carol has become a perennial favorite. He appeared in The Gospel According to Mark Twain at the Edinburgh Theatre Festival and performed and directed a good will tour of Central America and Mexico for the U.S. State Dept. His connection with the pop culture phenomenon Grease began in 1972 when he was cast in the very first national company, before joining the Broadway production. His association with Grease continued throughout the years, when he began directing productions, including one for the St. Louis Municipal Opera that included a chorus of 75 teenagers. His two national tours, which featured such stars as Frankie Avalon, Chubby Checker, Sandra Dee, Charo, and Lavern and Shirley’s Cindy Williams and Eddie Mekka criss crossed the country,played Europe and Asia, and was on the road for 11 years. He is delighted to be at the Gateway bringing the 50’s back to life yet again! Long live Rock n’ Roll! |

JOEY MURRAY (Assistant to the Director) Joey Murray currently serves as Artistic Director of The Broadway Dolls, a “Best of Manhattan” award-winning stage show, which has toured all over the U.S. and China. New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) directing credits include Bashert (2012) and Tour de Fierce (2011). Developed and directed the world premiere Kander and Ebb project City Lights at Downstairs Cabaret Theatre in Rochester. Off-Bway/NYC: The Hole (Theatre at St. Clements); The Gallery (NYTB); Love Letter (Zipper Theatre); Pride Concert (Joe’s Pub/Public); numerous concerts/readings. Graduate of Catholic University of America. Studied playwriting and directing at NYU and Barrow Group. Love and thanks to Ray. |

MICHAEL BERKELEY (Musical Director) Credits include directing/musical directing 40+ shows for TriArts Sharon Playhouse during his tenure as Resident Musical Director and Artistic Director. Additional credits include: Gateway Playhouse, Candlewood Playhouse Ironwood Theatre, Royal Palm Dinner Theatre (Boca Raton and Key West, FL), Ordway Theatre, Denver Center for the Performing Arts (Musical Supervisor), and Wayside Theatre. He also served as Associate Conductor for the Far East tour of South Pacific and the U.S./Canadian Tour of Joseph… (with Donny Osmond). A member of the BMI-Lehman Engel Musical Theatre Workshop and ASCAP Composers Workshop, Michael currently has three licensed musicals appearing around the country, including the critically-acclaimed Irving Berlin revue I Love A Piano co-authored with Ray Roderick and represented by the Rodgers & Hammerstein Organization. Works in development include Rip Van Winkle: The Musical slated for a 2014 production. He is very happy to be back at Gateway working with this extraordinary team and cast. |

GRADY MCLEOD BOWMAN (Choreographer) has been seen on Broadway in Billy Elliot, South Pacific, Wonderland, and The Pirate Queen. He has also toured the world extensively dancing in Fosse and with Pilobolus Dance Theatre. Grady has served as the Associate Choreographer on Dogfight at Off-Broadway’s Second Stage Theatre as well as Assistant Director/Associate Choreographer on The Great American Mousical at Goodspeed Opera House working alongside Julie Andrews, Chris Gattelli, and Joe Mantello. His own choreography has been seen at the NY Fringe Festival, Northern Stage, Cape Fear Regional Theatre, UNC School of the Arts & SUNY Fredonia College. JOSE SANTIAGO (Lighting Designer) Jose Santiago is super excited to be designing Grease at Gateway. This season is Jose’s eleventh season with Gateway working in many different capacities. Past designs include: White Christmas, S’ Wonderful (Gateway), Meet Me in St. Louis (Gateway), The Drowsy Chaperone (FSU), Waiting for Godot (FSU), The Miser (FSU), Later the Same Evening (FSU) and many dance pieces at Florida State. MARINNE DOMINY (Co-Costume Designer) has enjoyed working with Gateway Playhouse for the last 20 years. Besides costume coordinator for over 100 Gateway Productions, she has designed costumes for Jesus Christ Superstar, Godspell, & Twist and Shout. In the past, Marianne has served as properties mistress and set dresser and has even stage managed for the Gateway Children’s Theatre. On her off time from Gateway, Marianne sews for local clients. She has lived in Bellport all her life and loves being a part of the artistic endeavors at Gateway. Kisses and hugs to all her pets! |

NATALIE FERRIS (Co-Costume Designer) Natalie Ferris is very proud to be given the opportunity to co-design her first show here at Gateway Playhouse. She studied costume design Florida School of the Arts and has been all over the country working on various shows and movies. She wants to thank family and friends for always supporting her, and Sparky, for still putting up with her on a daily basis. |
